John spoke exclusively 30 years on, about the famous touchline incident he was involved in during the Republic of Ireland Vs Mexico match in Orlando. He also talked in depth about his famous world cup goal in the same match, his love of football, his Liverpool Football Club and World Cup dreams and his Irish heritage. The documentary features archive from legendary world cup winner and then Republic of Ireland manager Jack Charlton. The interview was produced by Alan Hamilton and the programme is a Moon Road Production.

A radio documentary for the BBC World Service about astronaut Alan Shepard playing golf on the moon in 1971 (produced for the Witness History series). Alan’s daughter Laura Shepard Churchley spoke exclusively about her pioneering Mercury 7 astronaut father. She talks in depth about 3 space trips – her father’s first mission in 1961 becoming the second human in space, her own trip in 2021 playing football on the New Shepard rocket and her father’s famous golf playing Apollo 14 moon mission. The documentary features NASA mission audio from both Alan’s missions. The interview was produced by Alan Hamilton and the programme is a Moon Road Production.

Titanic – Millvina Dean the last survivor
The story of the last Titanic survivor Miss Millvina Dean. Millvina spoke exclusively to us to tell us about her and her families plight on the unsinkable ship Titanic. She was carried in a sack onto a lifeboat as a baby but she lost her father. We approached and interviewed Millvina, the documentary also featured 1912 archive footage sourced from Pathe. The production received a funding award from North West Vision. Screened multiple times on The History Channel as part of the ‘A Small Piece of History’ series.

The short features an interview with astronaut Walt Cunningham along with footage of the mission sourced from NASA. Walt tells us about the mission highlights and it’s significance in getting American back on their moon road. We also ask him about the mission broadcasting the first live TV from space. Muhammad Ali Vs Earnie Shavers
A short about a notorious Muhammad Ali title bout. Former US Heavyweight contender Earnie Shavers dubbed ‘hardest puncher of all time’, gives his personal in depth insight on going the distance with Ali. This was one of two world title bouts Earnie so nearly won. Earnie knocked Ali early in the fight, Ali later dubbed him ‘the hardest puncher he ever faced’. Featured fight footage never before seen in the UK used with permission. Broadcast multiple times on The History Channel as part of the ‘A Small Piece of History’ series.

Panto: Just For Kids?
Documentary looking at the appeal of traditional British pantomime to adults and children. Filmed at 5 shows at 5 locations in 5 days UK wide. The documentary features backstage, performance and rehearsal footage and interviews with legendary UK and Australian panto performers inc Bob Carolgees (Tiswas), Ian Smith (Harold Bishop in ‘Neighbours’) and Frazer Hines (Dr Who, Emmerdale). The documentary also featured interviews with highly respected pantomime producers and performers. Acquired on a 2 year licence by Community Channel and subsequently re-acquired for a further 2 further years by them, screened over 100 times in 4 years each Christmas period by the broadcaster. Entirely researched by Alan Hamilton, he liaised with multiple talent agents, producers and venues to secure appropriate access to film a rounded insight into the great traditions of pantomime.

The series combined DIY with biography with Alan helping to secure intimate access to the guests in their own homes (some are personal friends of Alan’s) inc; Frankie Dettori MBE, Samantha Fox, Russell Grant, Dean Gaffney, Neil & Christine Hamilton, Vic Reeves & Nancy Sorrell, Chesney Hawkes & dad Chip Hawkes of The Tremeloes, Rowland Rivron, Uri Geller, Cheryl Baker, Dane Bowers, Helen Lederer, Lembit Opek, Deena Payne & Linda Robson. Produced for UKTV by a small indie in association with Alan Hamilton.10 shows were made and a further 5 subsequently ordered.
